The Terence Lapin

Mosin Nagant Collector's Editions
Terence Lapin has been a long
time friend and supporter of this site. Needless to say, Mosin-Nagant Dot Net is
honored to have such a well known and respected author as a sponsor/friend.
Below one will find two works that really belong in the library of every Mosin Nagant
collector. These two publications are invaluable resources to the new collector as
well as the old "Mosin Men" of the world. Mosin-Nagant Dot Net high
recommends the purchase of both as they will help educate one to what Mosin Nagant they
are viewing at the next show.

- The Mosin Nagant Rifle
Here one will find a great general overview of the various Mosin Nagant
models. Mr. Lapin covers the Mosin Nagants of Finland, Russia, the Soviet
Union, Hungary, Poland, China, Romania, as well as the Mosin Nagants used in nations such
as Turkey. It is well written and is in an easy to follow format. For
the new Mosin Nagant collector, there simply is not a better reference in English.
All Mosin Nagant owners will benefit from the great proof marks section
that is divided into an easy to follow format. This fine publication may be
purchased directly by contacting North Cape publishers. Click Here For Purchase Info.
- The Soviet Mosin Nagant Manual
Is the new work by Mr. Lapin and is simply fantastic. Mr. Lapin
personally translated a Soviet manual that covers the M91/30, the Model 1938, and the
Model 1944 Carbine. This manual is packed full on information that will teach
the Mosin Nagant owner all he needs to properly use their rifle "in the field".
There are field stripping procedures, sighting procedures, how to set the
firing pin, tips on how to fire on horseback, how to fire with skis, and even how to fire
upon paratroopers ( IN FLIGHT! ). Very interesting insights into both the Red
Army and their bolt action rifle. You may purchase The Soviet Mosin Nagant
Manual from Hyrax Publishers, P.O. Box 10885, Arlington, VA 22210. The cost is $15
and shipping.
